Same, same but not different

I am starting 2011 posts with Courier New and I think my font will stay as Courier New throughout the year - I have been steadily paired with Calibri all 2010 and I suspect most of 2009; it's going to be a year of self imposed newness for me. But one font a year is my maximum!

My first dish at a new restaurant never changes, I can go to the same place for years and order the exact same dish; every toilet block has a chosen toilet cubicle that never ever changes - I've been using the same cubicle in the same toilet block at the Victoria Market since I was a teen, I'm now 38 and I am still using the same one! 


I don't need to reflect deeply on my inner self to know this is probably not great. So, last night I went out and had a new dish at Green Fields - and I dug it - I really dug it and then I went to Gelo bar and replaced a well loved favorite with a new flavor (one out of three is not bad)! 


My stickler for sameness may be the cause for my obsession with change in other parts of my life. I keep moving house - my children have lived in 5 places in 10 years; I travel all the time for work and get antsy in the gaps in-between. I move the dishes around, the clothes drawers in the children's rooms are swapped regularly - I keep adding hooks and shelving and moving, household cleaning products, kitchen goods and animal food around and around and around. 


2011 I'm opening myself to change - a new dish every-time I eat out; which is frequent, probably too frequent; I have moved to the other side of the bed and am currently making a dj mix on my iPod for cruising new toilet blocks and cubicles - 2011 looks to be SO MUCH FUN!
