Sognsvann, Oslo, Norway

Traditional Norwegian BBQ - frankfurts in potato bread - I know what you are thinking but it's super yum!

Oh he does love a rock to throw in the water.

Lovely old fella Raymond - who joined us for lunch while he was waiting for his wife to walk around the park.

Maybe too much hat?

Traditional type of Norwegian dog - the others generally have two eyes though - this one was NOT in good nick!

Sognsvann is a 3.3km circumference lake just north of Oslo. The lake is a popular recreational area, used as a camping, picnicking and bathing destination for the residents of Oslo during the summer and as a cross-country skiing, skating and ice-fishing spot in winter. The trail around it is used for walking or jogging all year. Part of the lake's popularity stems from its easy access from Oslo, because there are woods a plenty in Norway. This park was excitingly convenient and absolutely beautiful. Better than anything I have seen for a long time, pure and beautiful nature.
