Izola and castles on the way... we are spoiled.

Some more of the view on the train trip from Vienna.

We are going to stay here for eight days now and hang out in Izola, Trieste and Venice and then head to Rome by train - we love the train it's a great way to get around. We are currently a one hour trip from Venice - oh my Godess!

Quinn helping a Slovenian Nonno to sweep flat the Bocce field!

Chips make them happy - check out the best calamari for the cheapest price - possibly in the world!

Carmen and Lidia pick out a boat (not really - would be nice though just to shut Quinn up! He was pretty keen to ride in one).

Happy families...

Quinn's new boat!

Pensive and watching the 'jealous' ocean.

Iggy lonely before making a Slovenian friend and playing soccer in the park on the shore.

The coastline and the view.

Stones on the Slovenian shore.

Hamish and Lidia with the Izola marina behind and Trieste further afield.

Carmen and the wonderful Lidia!

Shopping at Spar in Izola, Slovenia- heaps of stuff is organic and biodynamic even in Slovenia - wake up Australia. Lidia made me some brodo tonight from a whole bio chicken. Oh my goodness it was delicious and I already feel better - in fact tears come to my eyes; it's nice to be looked after sometimes; and we are lucky to have people love and care for us all over the world!
