I was driving down St George's Road and saw a piece of street art that said 'I believe in childhood dreams' and it spoke to me. I'm documenting the ups and downs of our existence, mainly for family and friends who live all over the place. Our lives are so busy, it's nice and sometimes essential to stop and assess.

Neil Gaiman
Today Hamish, Carmen, Carlos, Owen and Amadeo went to see, meet and get books signed by Neil Gaiman at the All the Wild Wonders conference which is run by The Children's Book Council of Australia.
Neil Gaimen sees the world through a rose colored tennis visor 30 cents from Savers; every door way is an opening to a mystery, every woman a princess or a witch; every boy a shepard, a wizard, Dragon hunter and giant slayer. With this treasured insight he wove words around us, a blanket of meaning and depth that we rolled in willingly.
He is a favorite of ours and a special writer responsible for the screen plays of Beowulf, Stardust, Princess Mononoke, to name a few. Check out his website http://www.neilgaiman.com/
Hamish said 'I am so "wet-my-pants" excited to meet you', to which after signing Coraline for the boys Neil replied 'I'm glad you didn't wet your pants'!
